Conops & Mission Analysis Systems Engineer Job Description An exciting opportunity to support a billion-dollar program as a systems engineer focusing on mission operations and satellite operations for a large international space company. This role involves working remotely with quarterly international travel. Responsibilities Capture stakeholder requirements and develop CONOPS to define operational concepts. Model mission scenarios to evaluate architectures and establish system requirements. Manage requirements allocation, traceability, and interface definitions across spacecraft, payload, ground, and mission operations segments. Coordinate cross-functional teams and lead trade studies. Support business development activities and communicate technical status, risks, and recommendations to customers, partners, and upper leadership. Develop verification and validation plans and support system integration and operational readiness. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and contributions to continuous improvement. Maintain configuration control, documentation, and compliance with engineering standards. Present mission analysis results at key program reviews. Support mission operations through on-orbit analysis, health monitoring, contingency management, operator training, performance reporting, and updates to operational concepts and mission models throughout the mission lifecycle. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with space experience. Satellite operations procedure development, launch support, and EOR operation. Proficiency in link-budget, SysML, ICD, data flow diagrams. Experience with Confluence and Jira. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical engineering, or physics. 5 years of relevant working experience. Knowledge of space environment and orbital mechanics. Hands-on systems integration experience. Proficiency in testing systems and problem-solving. Ability to work independently. Work Environment This is a remote opportunity that requires quarterly international travel. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00/hr.
