Role Description This full-time hybrid role for a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon is based in Warri, with some flexibility for work-from-home responsibilities such as teleconsultations, documentation, and virtual meetings. The Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal conditions, including trauma, degenerative disorders, and sports injuries. Daily activities include performing orthopaedic surgeries, overseeing pre- and post-operative care, collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, contributing to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, mentoring junior clinicians, and participating in patient education and community health programs. The Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon may work closely with JV Management Consulting Ltd’s client organizations to align clinical services with broader healthcare performance and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical expertise in orthopaedic surgery, including trauma, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, with proficiency in interpreting imaging and other investigative results.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient-centered care, including effective communication, counseling, and informed consent processes.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines and patient safety standards.
• Ability to manage a high-volume clinical workload, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate, timely medical documentation.
• Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Warri, including onsite clinical care and occasional remote consultations or administrative tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail and reliability in meeting clinical and administrative responsibilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with patients, families, colleagues, and management stakeholders.
• Recognized medical degree and specialist qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery, with current registration and license to practice.
• Prior consultant-level experience or equivalent senior orthopaedic role in a hospital
