Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Consultant Psychiatrist at Tele Thoughts. The Consultant Psychiatrist will conduct telehealth psychiatric assessments, diagnose and manage mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing follow-up consultations, adjusting medications and therapies as appropriate, documenting clinical encounters in accordance with professional standards, and collaborating with other mental health professionals when needed. The psychiatrist will maintain high standards of ethical practice, ensure patient confidentiality, and contribute to a supportive, patient-centered care experience in the virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to integrate medical and psychiatric knowledge in telehealth practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of common and complex conditions.
• Experience or training in Adolescent Psychiatry and general Psychiatry across diverse age groups and backgrounds.
• Current medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of accredited psychiatry residency; board certification or eligibility in psychiatry preferred.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine and psychiatry in relevant jurisdictions, with eligibility to provide telehealth services.
• Excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Comfort with telehealth technologies, secure electronic documentation, and remote work practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards for remote psychiatric care.
