This role contributes to new content development and the ongoing review, enhancement, and evolution of existing content, ensuring courses meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and learner needs. Instructional Designers collaborate with Curriculum Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Course Production Specialists, and Visual Information Specialists to create and update course content that enhances student success and satisfaction. Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities: Course Design & Development Develop instructional strategies, course structures, and learning activities for both new courses and content revisions. Create and revise instructional content, including text, interactive elements, assessments, and case studies. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to ensure courses are engaging and effective. Develop assessment strategies that align with course objectives and regulatory requirements. Work within Learning Management Systems (LMS) to structure course materials and ensure seamless learner experience. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams Work with Curriculum Managers to scope course development and maintenance efforts. Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance of course content. Work closely with other Instructional Designers to align instructional quality across courses. Coordinate with Visual Information Specialists to incorporate visuals, videos, and interactive elements. Work with Course Production Specialists to ensure content is properly formatted and implemented in the LMS. Content Maintenance & Continuous Improvement Analyze course feedback, student performance data, and regulatory changes to identify areas for improvement. Implement updates to existing courses, ensuring content remains current, accurate, and instructionally sound. Maintain consistency in instructional quality across all course updates and revisions. Minimum Qualifications and Skills: Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or e-learning design (familiarity with regulatory licensing education preferred). Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional methodologies, and assessment strategies. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools. Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in instructional design to enhance content creation and learning experiences. Excellent writing and content structuring skills to create clear and engaging learning experiences. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with SMEs, Curriculum Managers, and Course Production teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Technical Skills Required: Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred Experience in using agile project management tools (JIRA preferred) Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
