The Role FT Live brings the Financial Times’ journalism to life through a global portfolio of in-person, digital and hybrid events. The Graduate Content Editor will work across FT Live’s industry portfolios, helping to research and develop new event launches while directly handling the content for one to three events each year. Further events may be assigned as the FT Live portfolio grows. This role offers the opportunity to develop high-quality event programmes, secure influential speakers and collaborate with teams across FT editorial, sponsorship, project management, marketing and social media. The successful candidate will be curious about global business and current affairs, highly organised and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment. Key Responsibilities Research, write and produce innovative, high-quality programmes for core multi-sponsor B2B events across in-person, digital and hybrid formats. Work closely with the FT’s editorial team to maintain the quality, relevance and integrity of event programmes. Research, invite and confirm senior speakers and subject-matter experts. Liaise with FT journalists who chair or moderate FT Live events. Partner with the sponsorship team to support the fulfilment of agreed content deliverables. Research and write editorial proposals for sponsorship sales packs and pitches. Work with the project management team to support the effective delivery of programmed events and event collateral. Create original copy for email campaigns, newspaper advertisements, marketing brochures and other promotional materials. Collaborate with the social media team to produce and manage additional content before, during and after events. Support speaker liaison and on-the-day content delivery, including social media activity and content related to live streaming. Produce post-event materials, including speaker thank-you emails, event summaries and related content. Work with FT editorial colleagues to make effective use of FT.com video and other FT digital output across FT Live events. Conduct due diligence and contribute to the development of new ideas for global, multi-sponsored events. Required Skills and Experience Strong research, writing and editing skills, with excellent written and spoken English. The ability to develop clear, engaging content for different audiences and channels. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deliverables in a timely manner. Confidence building positive working relationships with speakers, journalists, commercial partners and colleagues across multiple teams. An interest in the issues affecting global business and a strong curiosity about current affairs. The ability to work effectively within a large, dynamic and fast-paced international business. A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to address challenges and take ownership of solutions. Adaptability and an interest in the digital innovations shaping the media and events industries. A commitment to acting with honesty, integrity and professionalism. An active interest in learning, feedback and continued professional development. Desirable Experience working in B2B or B2C events, conference production, editorial content or a related environment. Experience supporting the launch of new events or contributing to the growth and development of existing events. Familiarity with event marketing, digital events, live streaming or social media content production. What’s in it for You?
