Content Strategist

Our client is looking for a savvy, passionate Content & Editorial Strategist who is excited about brand storytelling, copywriting, sustainability, and beauty. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong passion for language, brand voice, and clean beauty, and who can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Content & Editorial Strategist will lead content strategy, evolve the brand voice, and develop compelling copy across owned channels. This person will support product launches, integrated campaigns, ecommerce, email, social, retail, events, and seasonal initiatives while ensuring all messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s mission.

This is a remote role with an expectation to work on Pacific Standard Time/PST hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead editorial and content strategies that support product launches, integrated campaigns, and key business objectives.
• Own and evolve the brand’s content strategy and voice across all owned channels.
• Establish messaging frameworks, storytelling pillars, editorial guidelines, and content systems that guide execution across customer touchpoints.
• Write compelling copy for product launches, integrated campaigns, email, social, retail collateral, events, website content, and seasonal initiatives.
• Lead editorial strategy for the brand’s ecommerce website, including product pages, editorial features, SEO content, and long-form storytelling.
• Develop and manage the editorial calendar, aligning content priorities with campaign timelines, product launches, seasonal moments, and business goals.
• Create content briefs, messaging hierarchies, and channel-specific frameworks for Creative, Ecommerce, Social, Paid, and Lifecycle Marketing teams.
• Partner closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, Product Marketing, Education, and Digital teams to shape integrated campaigns from a content-first perspective.
• Translate ingredient science, clinical results, sustainability initiatives, and product innovation into clear, compelling consumer-facing messaging.
• Use performance insights, SEO data, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and optimize future strategy.
• Monitor beauty, wellness, digital, and cultural trends to keep storytelling relevant, distinctive, and aligned with the brand’s point of view.
• Maintain editorial excellence by ensuring consistency, accuracy, and brand voice standards across all channels.
• Use AI tools to optimize workflows, improve speed, and support content development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of copywriting, content strategy, or editorial experience, ideally within beauty, skincare, wellness, lifestyle, or DTC consumer brands.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Strong portfolio showcasing brand voice, campaign copy, ecommerce copy, editorial content, and multi-channel writing.
• Proven ability to adapt voice and tone across digital, print, social, email, video scripts, retail, and website content.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and performance copywriting.
• Experience writing for product launches, ecommerce websites, PDPs, email campaigns, and integrated marketing campaigns.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using Figma.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve content workflows and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for beauty, wellness, sustainability, and consumer education.
• Must be able to work remotely and align with PST hours.
