The Opportunity Company, Department : Nova Scotia Power, Energy Delivery Services Location : Sackville, NS Type of Employment: Regular, Full time Closing Date: August 4, 2026 We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in a permanent role. The successful candidate will join the Energy Delivery Services team of dedicated professionals, whose objective is to exceed our customer’s expectations in delivering reliable and cost-effective energy and services. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will develop and manage process improvement projects within NS Power, thereby providing a safe, reliable, consistent, cost-effective environment with a focus on the customer. Accountabilities include managing initiatives from initiation to completion using continuous improvement and project management methodologies. Key elements of this role include: Identify improvement opportunities and manage improvement requests from the business. Lead process improvement initiatives across business units including process design and redesign. Facilitate process improvement workshops. Gather data, perform analytics & solicit field input. Develop business cases to support initiatives. Provide status reports and perform presentations for key stakeholder groups. Utilize project management methodology to roll out initiatives. Develop or prepare key performance metrics. Audit and support various dashboards. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quick reference guides. You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives. These skills will make you successful: These skills will make you successful: You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or work experience in continuous improvement or process design. You are a self-starter and leader with proven organizational and analytical skills who is able to function effectively in a team environment. You are outcome oriented with the ability to set goals and priorities in order to deliver on expectations. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong facilitation and presentation skills, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to provide emergency power restoration support. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred. Experience in electric utility is an asset. Facilitation, Project Management, Quality Assurance or Continuous Improvement experience are definite assets.
