Position Summary MBDA Incorporated is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our Contracts team. This position supports the administration of U.S. Government and defense-related contracts and subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day contract administration and supplier oversight, support proposal development and negotiations, and help ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Working closely with Contracts leadership and cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Finance, Business Development, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Engineering. This individual will help manage contractual obligations, evaluate costs and risks, and monitor supplier performance. This role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, along with a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Department of Defense contracting practices. Key Responsibilities Administer assigned contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders throughout the contract lifecycle. Provide day-to-day oversight of supplier contractual performance, obligations, and deliverables. Support the Director of Contracts and Contract Managers with contract administration activities. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Interpret and select applicable FAR and DFARS clauses and flow-down requirements for suppliers. Support the development, review, and negotiation of contract proposals. Perform cost and pricing analyses to evaluate supplier proposals and support negotiations. Apply risk-management techniques to identify contractual risks and establish plans for monitoring contract performance. Draft contract correspondence, contractual documents, purchase orders, and related business communications. Coordinate and initiate return material authorizations (RMAs) with suppliers and customers. Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, Business Development, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Engineering, and other functional departments. Maintain accurate and complete contract files, documentation, and correspondence. Communicate and negotiate effectively with company personnel, customers, and suppliers. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered. At least two years of contracting or contract administration experience, preferably supporting the Department of Defense or a DoD contractor. Demonstrated experience working with FAR and DFARS requirements. Basic understanding of DoD contracts and government contracting practices. Working knowledge of contract types, structures, terms, and their operational and financial impacts. Experience performing cost or pricing analysis. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functional teams and manage competing priorities. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Approximately five years of related professional experience in contracts, subcontracts, procurement, supply chain, or government contracting. Experience administering contracts or subcontracts in an Aerospace & Defense environment. Experience interpreting and applying FAR and DFARS flow-down requirements. Familiarity with contract risk assessment and supplier performance monitoring. Experience supporting contract or proposal negotiations. Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and import/export compliance. Experience coordinating RMAs with suppliers or customers. Why Join MBDA?
