📍 Location: Remote (Mexico & Colombia)

⏰ Working Hours: Full-time, aligned with US Central / Eastern Time (between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

📃 Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our expanding team, leading the month-end close process and ensuring accurate, high-quality financial reporting for our e-commerce clients.

This role requires an accounting and finance professional who is adept at leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and provide insightful financial management. The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with hands-on financial management experience—including cash flow visibility, working capital analysis, and FP&A support—along with strong leadership skills and the executive presence to confidently partner with CFOs, founders, and clients.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting by the 5th business day of each month.
• Support cash flow visibility and working capital analysis while partnering with CFOs on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, providing financial insights that support business decision-making.
• Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and technology to improve accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Design, standardize, and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows across multiple clients.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.
• Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and scalable financial processes.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, CFOs, and internal teams to ensure exceptional service and collaboration.

🎓 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Controllership roles.
• Strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record in financial management.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, FP&A, and US GAAP.
• Experience reporting directly to CFOs or CEOs.
• Experience with inventory accounting, ideally within manufacturing, CPG, or e-commerce environments.
• Experience building or improving accounting processes in fast-paced, high-growth companies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills, with the confidence to interact with executive stakeholders.
• Passion for technology, AI, and automation, with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.

🌟 Nice to Have

• CPA license
• Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based ERP systems.
• Experience working with multiple entities or client portfolios.
• Background in fintech or other high-growth industries.
