RVA is looking for a Class EA Coordinator/Planner to support RVA’s Environmental Assessment Team on Municipal Infrastructure projects in the Toronto office. Duties: Coordinate Municipal Water/Wastewater Class Environmental Assessments (Class EAs), feasibility studies and master plans. Prepare documentation for municipal and provincial Class EAs, including technical memoranda, reports and presentations. Assist in the preparation of proposals for various pursuits. Coordinate with RVA’s internal and external staff, including subconsultants, for preparation of technical studies and environmental assessment documentation. Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, public and Indigenous groups. Support and attend client and public meetings, including development of meeting agenda, preparing meeting outline, writing and issuance of meeting notes, following up on action items. Coordinate and lead public consultation and stakeholder engagement, including engagement with Indigenous Communities. Review and analyze technical information and incorporate input from multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants into the selection, evaluation, and recommendation of alternative solutions. Occasional travel to project sites and other offices throughout southwestern Ontario and flexibility to work occasional evenings during public meetings. Qualifications: Degree or similar qualifications in environmental engineering, environmental studies, environmental science, planning or related field. 2+ years’ experience in completing Municipal Class Environmental Assessments and Master Plans in Ontario preferred. Strong technical and analytical skills. Strong communication (verbal, writing and presentation skills) and interpersonal skills. Applied knowledge of Teams, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applied use of GIS or other graphics software a strong asset. Demonstrated knowledge in Municipal Infrastructure. Environmental Professional (EP), Registered Professional Planner (RPP), and/or Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) professional designation (Provisional, student or full member) preferred. Full understanding of local, provincial, and federal environmental policies, legislation and applicable law. Driver’s license to travel to various sites and offices an asset.
