Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers at مجتمع وثيقة Wathiqa Community is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting and organizing volunteer activities across the organization. The coordinator will manage volunteer schedules, maintain accurate records, and serve as a primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring clear communication and timely updates. Day-to-day tasks include onboarding and training new volunteers, facilitating virtual meetings, coordinating community outreach initiatives, and matching volunteers with suitable projects based on skills and availability. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to identify volunteer needs, monitoring participation and engagement, and providing regular feedback and recognition to volunteers. The coordinator will contribute to improving volunteer processes and tools to enhance overall efficiency and impact.
Qualifications

• Strong volunteer management and volunteer training skills to recruit, onboard, support, and retain volunteers effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to build trust, provide guidance, and collaborate with diverse community members.
• Experience in community outreach and organizing initiatives that engage and expand the volunteer base.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment, manage time efficiently, and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, online communication platforms) for tracking volunteer data and coordinating activities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in managing schedules, documentation, and follow-up communications.
• Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and an interest in community development or social impact work.
• Prior experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work, or community programs is preferred but not required.
