Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers across the association’s programs and initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, this role will recruit and onboard volunteers, schedule and assign tasks, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and aligned with the organization’s mission. The coordinator will develop and deliver volunteer training materials, maintain accurate records, and monitor participation to improve retention and performance. This role will also collaborate with program leaders to identify volunteer needs, support community outreach activities, and communicate regularly with volunteers through digital channels. The coordinator is expected to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and foster a positive, inclusive volunteer experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Volunteer Management, including coordinating schedules, responsibilities, and engagement.
• Ability to design and deliver Volunteer Training, with a focus on clarity, inclusivity, and organizational values.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate diverse volunteer groups.
• Experience with Community Outreach, networking with local organizations, and promoting program opportunities.
• Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, shared documents) and basic data management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Commitment to the mission of social inclusion, youth development, and sports-based education.
• Previous experience in nonprofit or community initiatives is preferred; relevant education in social work, education, sports management, or related fields is an advantage.
