The Coordinator, Step Further Social Media & Digital Innovation plays a key role in expanding awareness of the Step Further initiative through compelling digital storytelling, innovative content creation, and strategic social media engagement. This position brings the stories of students, families, donors, and community partners to life, helping amplify the impact of scholarship opportunities and further the mission of Step Up For Students. In this role, you'll develop and execute engaging content across multiple digital platforms, creating meaningful connections with audiences while increasing brand awareness and community engagement. You'll manage social media channels, maintain editorial content calendars, and create impactful multimedia content that showcases the success and reach of the Step Further initiative. This position is highly collaborative and hands-on, involving travel throughout Florida to capture real-world stories through photography, video, testimonials, and event coverage. From conferences and community events to speaking engagements and organizational meetings, you'll help tell the stories that inspire and inform our audiences. The coordinator also supports digital marketing and audience growth efforts through paid social media campaigns, performance tracking, analytics, and audience insights. By leveraging emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, you'll continuously identify new opportunities to enhance engagement, expand reach, and strengthen our digital presence. Location : Remote (United States) Key Responsibilities: Develop, schedule, publish, and manage content across social media platforms to increase awareness, engagement, and visibility of the Step Further initiative. Create compelling stories that showcase the impact of scholarship opportunities on students, families, partners, stakeholders, and communities. Develop engaging digital content, including social media posts, videos, graphics, photography, testimonials, and other multimedia assets. Plan, maintain, and execute a strategic content calendar that supports organizational goals, campaigns, events, and key initiatives. Promote consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms and communication channels. Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photography, video, and other multimedia content for digital and marketing initiatives. Attend events, conferences, meetings, speaking engagements, and community activities to gather content and document organizational impact. Assist with paid social media campaigns and other digital marketing initiatives designed to expand audience reach and engagement. Monitor social media and digital performance metrics, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement. Research and apply emerging digital trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance audience engagement and communication effectiveness. Qualifications: Demonstrated success and a proven track record in professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries, and military service can substitute for the formal education 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing or communications. Experience using WordPress and creating basic graphic design assets is required. Experience capturing and editing photography and video content. Occasional Travel required. You’ll Stand Out If You Have: Experience utilizing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite Analytics, Sprout Social, or similar platforms. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field. Key Competencies: Effectively utilizes digital platforms and communication channels to engage audiences and support organizational objectives. Maintains social media platforms, content scheduling, audience engagement, and channel performance. Develops compelling, audience-focused content and narratives that communicate organizational impact across digital formats. Uses performance metrics and audience insights to evaluate effectiveness and inform content and engagement strategies. Creates photography, video, and other visual assets that enhance digital communications and brand awareness. Works effectively with colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and external audiences to support communication objectives. Embraces change, explores new technologies, and applies innovative approaches to digital communications.
