Copywriter

IRIS Agency is looking for a Creative Copywriter who knows how to turn consumer insights into ideas that people remember.

We’re not looking for someone who simply writes captions. We’re looking for someone who can uncover hidden cultural truths, identify human behaviors, and transform them into creative campaigns that connect with audiences.

While you’ll work on a variety of brands, a significant part of your role will involve understanding the Iraqi market. Curiosity, research skills, and the ability to translate local insights into powerful creative concepts are essential.

What You’ll Do

* Develop creative concepts for campaigns across multiple industries.

* Write compelling copy for social media, digital campaigns, commercials, and brand communications.

* Research consumer behavior and uncover meaningful cultural and market insights.

* Collaborate with strategists, designers, and the production team to bring ideas to life.

* Present creative ideas with clear strategic thinking.

Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in creative copywriting, preferably within an agency.

* Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, not just writing.

* Excellent Arabic copywriting skills.

* Experience developing campaigns based on consumer insights.

* Ability to conduct research and understand new markets quickly.

* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work remotely and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

* Experience working on FMCG, food & beverage, retail, or lifestyle brands.

* Familiarity with Gulf or Iraqi audiences.

* Experience using AI tools to support research, brainstorming, and creative development.
