YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE: Reporting to the Senior Corporate Director, Technical Services, the incumbent will be responsible for leading, organizing, and directing a broad range of technical resources across the organization. Working closely with the Technical Services leadership team of superintendents and subject matter experts, the incumbent will foster collaboration and team development while driving the implementation of best practices, processes, and tools to ensure consistent, high-quality, sustainable support. Drawing on extensive experience in operations and project development, the incumbent will drive a globally consistent and proactive approach to technical support, project execution, and project management. The role requires strong business acumen to ensure technical strategies, investments, and initiatives are aligned with Agnico Eagle’s corporate priorities and long-term growth objectives. Working closely with Corporate Exploration, Regional Project Directors, the Project Evaluation and Project Development groups, and Mine Managers, the incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the organization has the capabilities, processes, and expertise required to advance projects across Agnico Eagle’s global portfolio that deliver sustainable resource and reserve growth. In support of both operational and corporate objectives, this role provides strategic technical leadership across geology, mining, geotechnical, metallurgy, infrastructure and environmental disciplines. The incumbent will leverage Agnico Eagle’s collective expertise, champion mining technology initiatives, and promote best practices to enhance operational performance, reduce risk, and generate value. Align Tech Services resources with AEM priorities through stakeholder collaboration Coordinate Technical Services in collaboration with superintendents and senior experts Maintain technical expertise and provide opportunities for continued growth and retention Foster a collaborative and cohesive Technical Services culture across the organization Drive organizational excellence through clear goals, accountability, and a continuous improvement Harness Agnico Eagle’s collective expertise to deliver high-value projects and technical support Promote cross-functional collaboration to deliver best-in-class projects and technical solutions Build strong partnerships with operations to align Technical Services support with their needs Identify business needs and build Technical Services capabilities to deliver effective support Reduce project development risk through proactive communication and study-phase best practices Drive standardization of study methodologies to improve project quality and consistency Ensure study plans align with corporate strategy and long-term resource and reserve objectives Collaborate with mine and corporate stakeholders to advance mining technology initiatives Monitor industry trends and identify mining technology opportunities that create value for AEM #L1-WA1 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED At least 15 years of mining experience with a mix of mine operation and project development Minimum 10 years of experience leading and managing technical teams Technical expertise in geology, mining, geotech, metallurgy, infrastructure and environment Strong knowledge of project management Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all organizational levels Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently with minimal supervision Strong business acumen and ability to anticipate and navigate strategic and organizational impacts Focused on delivering results and willing to persevere to see things through Detail-oriented focus while maintaining the ability to think conceptually and strategically Bilingual in English and French, with Spanish considered to be a strong asset Work Schedule: Technical Services maintains a presence across Toronto, Sudbury, Mirabel, Rouyn-Noranda, and Val-d’Or. The successful candidate may be based at any of these locations, with flexibility for hybrid and remote work. A willingness to travel regularly to Technical Services hubs and operating sites is essential to support collaboration, engagement, and operational alignment. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule (40 hours per week).
