Cost of Sales Accountant

What's the role? The Revenue Accounting team, with employees located in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Mumbai, India and Krakow, Poland is responsible for managing and administrating the revenue for EMEA- and APAC-based customers as well as global Cost of Sales and content acquisition costs. Main responsibilities of the Cost of Sales Accountant are: Review contracts to determine the appropriate treatment between Cost of sales and Sourcing. Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and policy and with IFRS guidelines Maintain documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Prepare G/L account reconciliations on a monthly basis Assist with year-end audit for Cost of Sales and content acquisition costs Ensure accurate cost recognition for each project or contract Verify accurate setup of sales products to ensure correct cost of sales reporting Ensure accurate and timely submission of royalty reports to suppliers Resolve supplier inquiries as well as inquiries from internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner Maintain various deferred cost schedules Prepare and submit VAT listings and OSS declarations Assist with other projects and tasks as needed Applications we use: PeopleSoft (ERP System) iCertis (Contract Management System) Coupa (Purchase Requistion and Contract Management System) MS Office In this role you report to the Cost of Sales Manager who is based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Who are you? Preferably you have finished your education in Accountancy. Experience in an accounting role is necessary. Communication internally and externally is in English, so you need to have excellent English writing and speaking skills.
