The Role The Country HR Business Partner / HR Lead is the senior HR leader accountable for shaping and executing the people strategy within the assigned country. The role partners closely with country leadership, market leadership, delivery center leadership, Global HR Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence to translate business priorities into practical, compliant, and measurable people outcomes. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring workforce strategies support business objectives, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, and sustainable growth. Success is demonstrated through effective workforce planning, strong employee and labour relations, consistent execution of HR programmes, robust governance, informed decision making, and proactive risk management aligned with local legal requirements. Where applicable, the role also leads and develops local HR resources, ensuring seamless delivery of HR support across the country and delivery centres. Key Responsibilities People Strategy & Business Partnership Own and execute the country people strategy, aligning workforce priorities with business objectives and financial plans. Translate business strategy into actionable workforce, talent, organisational, and capability plans. Serve as the primary HR advisor to country and business leadership teams. Provide strategic counsel on organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, engagement, retention, and performance. Leadership Partnership Partner with senior country, commercial, and delivery leaders to drive business outcomes through people strategies. Act as a trusted advisor on workforce decisions, organisational design, succession planning, and business transformation. Participate as a member of relevant country or delivery centre leadership teams. Employee & Labour Relations Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations, labour relations, performance management, investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workforce change initiatives. Ensure employee matters are managed consistently, fairly, and in compliance with applicable legislation. Partner with legal and compliance stakeholders on sensitive labour and employment issues. HR Governance & Compliance Own country HR processes and policies, ensuring consistent application and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with local labour legislation, company policies, and global HR standards. Proactively identify and mitigate people-related risks that may impact employees, operations, or business performance. Workforce Planning & Organisational Change Lead workforce planning discussions with business leaders, utilising analytics and insights to support decision making. Support organisational design, restructuring, transformation, and change management initiatives. Develop workforce solutions that balance business requirements with employee experience and compliance obligations. Talent, Leadership & Employee Experience Partner with leaders on talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and retention. Drive employee engagement initiatives and action planning. Support development of high-performing, inclusive, and accountable teams. HR Programme Deployment Partner with Global HR Partners and HR Centers of Excellence to deploy talent, learning, diversity, workforce planning, total rewards, recruitment, and employee experience programmes. Translate global programmes into locally relevant execution plans with clear ownership, timelines, and outcomes. Monitor programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. HR Team Leadership (where applicable) Lead, coach, and develop local HR Business Partners and HR professionals. Foster collaboration across HR teams to ensure consistent and high-quality HR support. Build organisational capability within the HR function. Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement Use workforce analytics, business data, and employee insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Translate data into actionable recommendations for business leaders. Establish a disciplined operating rhythm that enables proactive and timely HR support. Who You Are Required Skills & Experience Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, Country HR, HR Lead, or equivalent leadership role. Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders within complex, matrixed organisations. Strong expertise in employee relations, labour relations, and employment legislation. Demonstrated success in workforce planning, organisational design, and change management. Experience influencing senior leadership and driving strategic people initiatives. Strong understanding of talent management, compensation, learning, performance, engagement, and succession processes. Experience partnering effectively with Centres of Excellence and global HR organisations. Ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into business action. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience supporting technology, consulting, outsourcing, managed services, or shared services organisations. Experience supporting large-scale workforce transformation initiatives. Experience operating within global, matrixed organisations. Familiarity with strategic workforce planning, scenario modelling, and organisational diagnostics. Experience leading or coordinating HR teams across multiple locations. Advanced HR, Labour Relations, Coaching, Change Management, or Employment Law certifications are advantageous. Fluency in local language(s) as required by country needs.
