Overview 20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. A startup digital marketing agency is seeking a Digital Presence Research & Lead Generation Specialist to help identify businesses that would benefit from improved digital marketing strategies and online visibility. The primary objective of this role is to research companies across various industries, evaluate their overall digital presence, identify areas for improvement, and prepare actionable business intelligence that the owner can use when approaching prospective clients. This role combines market research, lead generation, digital marketing analysis, and strategic business research to help build a scalable client acquisition process. This is not a social media management role. The focus is on evaluating businesses, identifying opportunities, and helping develop repeatable digital marketing solutions that can be offered to prospective clients. The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor. Scope of Services Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks: Digital Presence Research Research businesses across various industries to evaluate their digital presence Compare companies against competitors to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement Review websites, search engine visibility, online branding, and customer engagement Evaluate social media activity, consistency, and overall online presence Identify businesses that would benefit from improved digital marketing strategies Market Research & Business Analysis Research industry trends and identify markets with strong business development potential Analyze competitors and identify common digital marketing gaps within specific industries Help determine which industries and service offerings provide the greatest opportunity for the agency Organize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations Continuously refine evaluation criteria as the business evolves Lead Generation & Prospect Qualification Build lists of qualified businesses that align with the agency's target client profile Organize prospect information and maintain lead databases Research company decision-makers and contact information Prepare prospect summaries and supporting research for the business owner Assist in building a repeatable lead generation process Strategic Research Support Develop standardized evaluation scorecards for reviewing digital presence Help identify low-cost, high-value services that can be offered to prospective clients Assist with documenting research methodologies and internal workflows Support additional market research and business development projects as assigned Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing. Skills The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements: Previous market research or lead generation experience required Understanding of digital marketing, SEO, websites, and social media best practices required Experience evaluating business websites and online presence preferred Strong online research skills required Experience with CRM or lead management systems preferred Strong organizational and spreadsheet skills Excellent written and verbal English communication skills IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Strong analytical and research skills Naturally curious and enjoys evaluating businesses Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals Comfortable comparing companies and identifying opportunities for improvement Detail-oriented and highly organized Self-motivated with a proactive mindset Able to think critically and make recommendations rather than simply collecting information Strong written English communication skills APPLICATION SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGEABLE / REQUIRED Google Workspace Microsoft Office Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel ChatGPT or Similar AI Tools SEO Research Tools (Preferred) CRM Platforms (Preferred) LinkedIn Online Research Platforms Work Schedule Contracted Hours per Week: 10 Hours Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing) Daily Working Time: TBD EST Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above.
