If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you. The Role We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Videographer/ Editor to drive BJAK’s video direction across all channels. You’ll lead concept development, manage end-to-end production, and edit raw footage into visually engaging, on-brand video content for multiple platforms. You will collaborate with creatives across departments to elevate the visual quality of all marketing and brand materials. This role is ideal for a hands-on creator with strong technical editing skills, a passion for crafting visually powerful narratives, and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines. This is a 3-month contract role with an opportunity to transition into a full-time role afterwards. What You’ll Do 1. Creative Direction & Production Lead planning, storyboarding, and execution of high-quality video content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (XHS). Develop and own creative concepts that enhance brand storytelling, drive engagement, and align with campaign objectives. Set visual direction and ensure all content reflects BJAK’s tone, style, and brand identity. Produce visually compelling content — from corporate storytelling to fast-turnaround social videos. 2. Editing & Post-Production Edit raw video footage into compelling, polished videos optimized for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (XHS). Perform color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and subtitling to enhance overall video quality. Manage multiple projects concurrently with high attention to quality, consistency, and delivery timelines. Establish best practices and editing standards to maintain visual coherence across all BJAK content. Ensure all final outputs meet platform specifications and are optimized for engagement and reach. 3. Creative Collaboration Work closely with the Creative, Marketing, and Social Media teams to bring ideas to life through strong visual narratives. Provide creative input on visual direction, pacing, and storytelling. Support weekly content production cycles — from short-form reels to long-form marketing videos. Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, copywriters, and strategists to deliver cohesive content campaigns. 4. Workflow & Asset Management Oversee the full production pipeline — from media management and equipment setup to file optimization and export. Maintain organized archives of raw footage, assets, and project files for easy access and reuse. Ensure efficient troubleshooting and execution of editing workflows and proper file backups. Collaborate with other videographers and editors to maintain a consistent editing standard across projects. 5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay updated on social media video trends, editing tools, and visual effects techniques. Experiment with new storytelling techniques and visual styles to increase audience reach and retention. Suggest and test new editing styles or formats to improve engagement and content performance. What We’re Looking For Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in video editing or related creative production. Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing diverse video styles and storytelling techniques. Skilled in camera operations, lighting setups, and audio recording. Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (or equivalent tools). Strong understanding of storytelling, visual pacing, and transitions. Knowledge of aspect ratios, compression, and file formats for digital platforms. Deep understanding of social media platforms, video algorithms, and content optimization. Strong sense of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Location This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia . This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our Malaysia office at least 3 days per week. Language English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
