The Creative Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of creative projects across direct mail, digital, email, paid media, web, and integrated marketing campaigns. This role serves as the operational bridge between clients, account teams, creative, production, analytics, and operations to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, within budget, and according to scope. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced in managing complex, multi-channel marketing programs. They should understand how creative work moves across different media, with particular knowledge of direct mail, print production, and digital marketing. This role requires more than schedule management. The Creative Project Manager must be able to review, organize, and interpret stakeholder comments, identify missing or conflicting direction, and translate feedback into clear, actionable revisions for the creative team. The right candidate brings sound judgment, asks thoughtful questions, and can provide useful input when feedback may affect creative quality, production requirements, timing, or scope. Experience managing creative workflows, stakeholder feedback, and production details is more important than familiarity with every individual software platform. The right person will bring the core skills needed for the role and be comfortable learning the specific tools used by the agency and its clients. Project Intake and Planning Lead project intake and requirements gathering from account and client teams. Review creative briefs for completeness and identify missing information before project kickoff. Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and approval requirements. Partner with Account Teams to develop detailed project plans and production schedules. Ensure all projects are accurately entered, maintained, and documented within Wrike. Identify potential production, timing, resource, or compliance concerns early in the process. Creative Feedback and Revision Management Own the end-to-end creative review process by collecting, organizing, prioritizing, and documenting feedback from multiple stakeholders. Review comments carefully to understand the intended change, identify inconsistencies, and determine when clarification is needed. Consolidate overlapping or conflicting comments into a clear, actionable direction before assigning revisions to the creative team. Translate approved feedback into detailed revision instructions within Wrike. Prepare organized revision packages that allow any available creative team member to access the files, understand the requested changes, and complete the work with minimal additional clarification. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across copy, imagery, offers, calls to action, legal language, specifications, and production requirements. Apply creative and production judgment when reviewing feedback and raise thoughtful questions when requested changes could affect quality, brand consistency, timing, scope, or technical execution. Confirm that completed revisions accurately reflect approved comments before returning work for review. Workflow and Resource Management Manage project workflows through Wrike from initiation through final delivery. Assign tasks, establish deadlines, and monitor workload distribution across creative and production teams. Coordinate review cycles between client collaboration platforms, such as Figma, and internal project management workflows. Track project progress and proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, missing information, and resource constraints. Respond promptly to changing priorities, stakeholder questions, and time-sensitive revision requests. Facilitate daily, weekly, and milestone status meetings as needed. Help distribute work across available creative resources so projects do not depend on one individual for execution. Client and Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary internal project coordinator between Account Services, Creative, Production, Analytics, and Operations. Maintain project status reports and communicate progress against schedules. Coordinate client review and approval cycles while ensuring comments are captured accurately and converted into a unified direction. Ask clear follow-up questions when feedback is incomplete, ambiguous, contradictory, or technically impractical. Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, priorities, and resource availability. Communicate with professionalism, urgency, and accuracy in a fast-moving client environment. Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure all creative assets complete required internal, client, brand, legal, compliance, and production reviews. Verify deliverables meet approved creative direction and client requirements before release. Understand the differences between direct mail, print, digital, email, paid media, and web deliverables, including the distinct review and production considerations for each. Support quality control for direct mail components, including letters, envelopes, inserts, self-mailers, variable content, personalization, and postal requirements. Maintain complete documentation, revision history, approvals, and audit trails within Wrike. Escalate discrepancies or risks before they affect final production or launch. Reporting and Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve agency workflows, creative intake, feedback management, and project efficiency. Help establish best practices for project setup, revision documentation, approvals, and cross-functional collaboration. Recommend improvements that reduce turnaround time, unnecessary rework, and dependency on individual team members. Support the creation of scalable processes that can be used across clients and channels. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Five or more years of project management experience within a marketing agency, advertising agency, creative services organization, or direct marketing environment. Experience managing multi-channel creative projects across print and digital media. Strong understanding of direct mail, creative development, and marketing production workflows. Experience managing complex review cycles involving multiple stakeholders and high volumes of comments. Demonstrated ability to interpret, consolidate, and translate stakeholder feedback into accurate, actionable creative revisions. Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, and sense of urgency. Ability to recognize incomplete, conflicting, or potentially incorrect feedback and seek clarification before work proceeds. Sound judgment and the confidence to raise thoughtful questions or recommendations when appropriate. Experience working within project management and creative collaboration platforms. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt to new tools and client workflows as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience within performance marketing, customer acquisition, retention, CRM, or response-driven marketing programs. Knowledge of print production, direct mail operations, personalization, variable data, and USPS mailing processes. Experience working with letters, envelopes, inserts, postcards, self-mailers, and other direct-response formats. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of how creative files are prepared and revised, particularly in Adobe InDesign. Familiarity with marketing automation and campaign execution platforms. Experience managing regulated-industry marketing programs, including financial services, insurance, healthcare, banking, or telecommunications. PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications are preferred but not required. They understand that a stakeholder comment is not always a complete production instruction and know how to interpret feedback, ask the right questions, and convert it into accurate, usable direction. They are exceptionally detail-oriented and responsive, with the experience and judgment needed to manage fast-moving review cycles without losing important information. They understand both direct mail and digital media and can recognize how requirements differ across channels. They bring enough creative and production knowledge to provide thoughtful input, identify risks, and protect the quality and accuracy of the final work. The strongest candidate will be selected for their experience, attention to detail, responsiveness, judgment, and ability to manage complex creative workflows. Familiarity with the agency’s specific software is valuable, but the core skills required to manage feedback, production details, and cross-functional teams are the priority.
