Department Overview: CRECE, located within the Wisconsin Center Education Research (WCER), is a research centered dedicated to work that focuses on improving the early learning experiences of children ages 0-8, and on their families, caregivers, teachers, and communities. Anticipated Start Date: June 15, 2026 (for summer); September 2, 2026 (for academic year) Anticipated End Date (If Applicable): August 9, 2026 (for summer); May 7, 2027 (for academic year) Remote Work Eligibility Detail: All Remote Anticipated Hours Per Week: 10 Schedule: to be determined in consultation with supervisor Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: $16.93 Number of Positions: 3 Qualifications: To be eligible, applications must be undergraduates from the School of Education with an interest in researching issues related to early childhood education and meet one or more of the following criteria: • From a low-income household • First in their family to attend college • From an underserved urban or rural community Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : A commitment to learning, proactively asking questions and seeking help, and following through on assigned tasks. Position Summary/Job Duties: Interns will work with both faculty and graduate students on current CRECE research projects. In addition to an hourly salary, fellows will earn one research credit per semester (2026-27 academic year).
