About us : We are one of the top three automotive retailers in the UK, proudly representing 32 manufacturer brands, selling a huge range of new and used vehicles from over 150 dealerships across the UK and Ireland. We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we’re committed to recognising the valuable contribution each person makes. That’s why we continue to invest in a leading rewards and benefits package designed to support your career, wellbeing, and life outside of work. CRM CAMPAIGN MANAGER Remote, UK. £Negotiable (DOE) PURPOSE This is an exciting time to join Lookers, one of the UK’s largest automotive retail groups, as we embark on a journey to transform how we connect with our customers. We're moving away from one-size-fits-all marketing towards communications that are personalised, digital-first, AI-enabled and built around the moments that matter most in a customer's ownership journey. It's a genuine step change, and you'll join at exactly the right time to help shape that transformation. We’re looking for a CRM Campaign Manager with proven experience of creating marketing programmes from scratch to deliver incremental business value. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing targeted, personalised campaigns that support commercial priorities across the business (e.g. after sales, used car sales etc.) This role will be initially centred on campaigns — rather than automated journeys — that are targeted, segmented and personalised. The successful candidate will be a strong marketer first and foremost, comfortable working at pace across multiple concurrent campaigns, and will work closely with the Customer Lifecycle Manager and wider Marketing team to ensure campaign activity complements always-on lifecycle programmes. This is a remote working role, combined with face-to-face meetings as needed, typically monthly. RESPONSIBILITIES Define an overall campaign plan to support specific areas of the business (e.g. used car sales, after sales, retention etc.) Work with stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial and Digital teams to confirm propositions, define target audiences, agree campaign approach and align with broader marketing activity. Plan and execute targeted campaign activity in response to commercial priorities such as used car offers, stock priorities and seasonal promotions Work with commercial stakeholders to understand current offers, stock priorities and sales objectives, translating these into effective, well-targeted CRM campaigns Build and execute campaign sends across relevant channels, personalising content to different audience segments, where it matters and delivers incremental value. Use and extend our AI capabilities & extensions wherever possible to improve targeting, personalisation and time-to-market. Drive best practice in the creation of marketing campaigns (design, copy and build) with ability to write compelling and on-brand copy tailored to the audience, offer and occasion Using our Power BI dashboards, create campaign performance summaries, providing regular insight to relevant stakeholders. Identify key performance insights to inform future targeting, content and offer decisions. Person Specification Essential Experience & Skills 3–4 years’ experience in a CRM marketing role, ideally within a B2C environment Proven experience planning and delivering targeted marketing campaigns, including defining the targeting strategy. Demonstrated ability to write compelling, conversion-focused copy across email and SMS Hands-on experience using an ESP or CRM platform to build and send campaigns using drag-and-drop tools; experience with Dotdigital is desirable but not essential Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence in cross-functional collaboration Commercially aware with the ability to connect CRM activity to business outcomes HTML skills for building and editing email templates and content blocks Desirable Experience in the automotive retail sector or a similarly considered-purchase environment HTML skills for building and editing email templates and content blocks Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools Experience working within a multi-brand or multi-site retail environment Experience in leveraging AI capabilities to help drive improved performance and efficiencies. Understanding of data protection regulations (UK GDPR, PECR) as they apply to CRM and direct marketing Personal Attributes Strong marketer with a natural instinct for what makes a campaign land Commercially aware, focussed on tangible KPI’s that drive tangible and incremental business value Highly organised with strong attention to detail Proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable navigating ambiguity Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across departments Curiosity-driven approach to data and performance - always looking for ways to improve Core Benefits: Competitive salaries with structured pay scales and progression as you grow within the business Generous annual leave that increases with your length of service Enhanced family leave, including 6 months’ full pay for maternity and adoption leave, and 2 weeks’ full pay for paternity leave Access to Techscheme for discounted technology purchases with flexible payments Health & Wellbeing: Eyecare vouchers to help cover vision care needs Smart Health – 24/7 access to GP services to support your mental and physical wellbeing Dental insurance for everyday dental care and unexpected treatments Optional critical illness cover for peace of mind during life's most challenging moments Financial Wellbeing: MyView PayNow – access a portion of your pay as you earn, with features to stream, save, and track your money through a user-friendly app Free will writing services to help plan for the future Flexible life assurance options and partner life assurance for added protection Leisure & Lifestyle: Discounted gym memberships to support an active lifestyle Travel insurance to help you explore with confidence Access to home and technology vouchers bYond card and a wide range of exclusive retail and lifestyle discounts We strongly believe in nurturing and providing our people with specific manufacturer brand and management training to enhance career development opportunities.
