Reporting to the Senior CRM Insights Manager and based in our North Ryde Support office, we have a 3-month contract opportunity for a highly motivated and commercially minded Senior CRM Insights Analyst who wants to play a key role in shaping customer engagement, retention and growth through data-led decision making. With over 3 million customers and clients annually, CRM is a critical pillar of our business success. Working with our class-leading Friends for Life loyalty program, transactional data across Retail and Vet, and digital engagement data, this role will help identify where customer insight can be turned into measurable commercial action. What You’ll Do This role will take ownership of complex analysis across CRM and customer engagement initiatives, working closely with senior members of the Insights & Analytics team and broader business stakeholders to mine data, build meaningful segmentations, automate reporting and deliver insights that influence decision making. This is a hands-on senior analyst role for someone who can own the data, own the insight and help drive the outcome — balancing technical depth with strong commercial storytelling and stakeholder influence. You will: Own the extraction, transformation and analysis of complex customer, loyalty, campaign and transactional datasets using SQL and related analytics tools Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities, shape analytical briefs and translate data into commercially actionable recommendations Design, manage and interpret CRM test-and-control activity, campaign measurement and customer engagement performance reporting Create clear, compelling insight narratives and data visualisations for senior management and cross-functional teams Identify opportunities to improve customer segmentation, targeting, retention, lifecycle engagement and supplier-funded CRM activity Accelerate automation of repetitive reporting and analytical processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort Share technical knowledge across the team to lift overall analytical capability About you We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their career in Business Insights and has already developed strong technical, analytical and commercial experience. You will be confident working with complex data, engaging stakeholders and turning analysis into recommendations that influence action. You will have: Advanced SQL capability, including customer segmentation, joining complex tables, data transformation, quality checking and repeatable analytical workflows Proven experience analysing large customer, loyalty, transactional or longitudinal datasets to identify growth, retention and engagement opportunities Strong experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into a simple, compelling story through clear recommendations and data visualisation Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape briefs, manage competing priorities and influence decisions Commercial acumen, ideally gained in retail, FMCG, supplier-funded marketing, customer analytics or a related environment Excellent interpersonal, communication, time-management and influencing skills A record of improving data extraction, reporting or analytical processes through automation, documentation or continuous improvement This is an outstanding opportunity within a highly visible part of our business, dealing with a breadth of internal stakeholders and would suit a proactive, driven and passionate senior analyst who enjoys using data to shape the future direction of our company.
