CTO - Co-founder

This is not a paid job initially and do not require you to be full time at the moment. You will be treated as co-founder and obtain shares vested in 3 years time.

We a team of 6 now ecomgear.dev, ecomgear.ai already deployed AI App and agents; however, our research and development team is too young to catch up on commercial standard. I as the founder and CEO, could not spend enough time with the team and we continue to slip on project/time. We are soon hitting critical commercial stage to scale and expand and look into a CTO who can brige the commercial and research/deployment gap.

Its solutions are designed for SMEs expanding across global, China, and ASEAN markets, enabling them to build, connect, and operate efficiently. eCG Technology Limited aims to simplify complex technology challenges so clients can scale with confidence and agility.

Role Description The CTO – Co-founder will lead the overall technology vision, strategy, and architecture for eCG Technology Limited’s AI-powered platform in a temporary, remote capacity. This role involves designing and overseeing scalable systems for application development, cross-border infrastructure, and intelligent automation. The CTO – Co-founder will collaborate closely with the founding team to define product roadmaps, prioritize technical initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding engineering standards, reviewing and improving code and system design, selecting and integrating key technologies and tools, and establishing robust security and compliance practices. The role also requires mentoring technical contributors, managing vendor and partner relationships, and participating in fundraising and customer-facing discussions where deep technical expertise is needed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex technical problems, assess trade-offs, and make data-informed architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with co-founders, stakeholders, customers, and technical teams across remote settings.
• Sales and marketing awareness to support go-to-market efforts, articulate the technical value proposition, and engage in partner or investor discussions.
• Research skills to stay current with AI, cloud, and infrastructure trends, and to identify emerging technologies that can be integrated into the platform.
• Proven experience in leading technology for startups or high-growth companies, ideally in AI, SaaS, or cloud-based platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage remote engineering teams, establish development processes, and drive delivery against milestones.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, APIs, and data architectures suitable for cross-border operations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
