CTO & Co-founder (Bit Edge)

Location: Gdańsk / Tricity, Poland (Office-based) Stage: Early-stage startup Product: AI SaaS platform About Bit Edge Bid Edge is building an AI SaaS platform that helps enterprise sales teams win more complex deals through AI-powered deal intelligence. Our vision is to create the world's leading AI platform for enterprise sales teams - helping organisations improve every stage of the complex sales process through intelligent insights. The product already has a substantial V1 MVP and a clear commercial vision. We are now focused on launching our first commercial product and building a world-class engineering team, working alongside an experienced venture capital investor who is supporting the founding team and the company's growth. About the role This is a genuine founder opportunity rather than a conventional CTO position. Working alongside the Founder & CEO, you will take ownership of the company's technology strategy, architecture, engineering and product delivery. This is a highly hands-on role. In the early stages, you will write production code, review code, make architectural decisions and help deliver new functionality every week alongside the founder and a full-time developer. As the business grows, you will recruit, mentor and lead the engineering team while remaining closely involved in technical direction and product innovation. We're looking for someone who enjoys building products, solving difficult technical problems, and creating exceptional software. This is an office-based role . During the initial growth phase, the founding team works together in person, five days per week - close, day-to-day collaboration is expected to accelerate product development, decision-making, and company building. Your responsibilities Owning the technology vision and technical roadmap, Leading software architecture and engineering decisions, Actively developing product features and contributing production-quality code, Building secure, scalable, enterprise-grade multi-tenant SaaS architecture, Working closely with the Founder & CEO to shape product strategy and priorities, Recruiting, mentoring and leading the engineering team, Establishing engineering standards, testing, CI/CD and development processes, Ensuring platform security, reliability and operational excellence, Evaluating emerging AI technologies and incorporating them where they create customer value, Helping build a high-performance engineering culture. Who we are looking for (must-have) Significant experience building commercial SaaS products, Strong full-stack software engineering background, Experience building AI-powered applications using modern LLMs and AI frameworks, Excellent software architecture and cloud engineering experience, Experience leading engineering teams, Strong commercial awareness and product instincts, Fluent spoken and written English. Nice to have Experience using AI-enabled IDEs, Startup or scale-up experience, Genuine founder ambitions and comfort working in ambiguity, Willingness to be based in, or relocate to, the Gdańsk / Tricity area.
