CTO (Crypto Mining)

We are looking for a CTO to lead the technical vision and execution of EMCD Mining Pool - one of the core infrastructure products powering global crypto mining operations. You will own architecture, reliability, and engineering execution of a high-load, real-time system processing large-scale hash rate and reward distribution.  Location: Remote Key Responsibilities Define and execute technical strategy for the Mining Pool aligned with business goals Architect and evolve core systems: hash rate accounting, rewards, payouts, monitoring Ensure 24/7 stability, security, and high availability of pool infrastructure Lead engineering teams and build strong technical culture Establish engineering standards (CI/CD, testing, observability, code quality) Own incident management, RCA, and system reliability improvements Collaborate with product, security, and EMCD platform teams Ensure strong security practices and protection of pool and user data Requirements 3+ years in CTO / Head of Engineering / Lead Architect roles Strong experience with high-load distributed or real-time systems Understanding of mining pool mechanics or blockchain systems (BTC / altcoins) Experience scaling engineering teams and technical organizations Strong background in system design, reliability, and observability Hands-on experience with CI/CD, incident response, and engineering processes Understanding of security principles in fintech or crypto systems Nice to Have Experience in crypto, Web3, fintech, exchanges, or custody platforms Background in mining infrastructure or blockchain production systems Experience with AI-assisted development tools or AI agents in engineering workflows What We Offer Opportunity to build a next-generation AI-powered financial platform High autonomy and direct influence on product and company direction Fast-scaling global engineering environment Strong ownership culture and executive-level impact Remote-first company - work from anywhere in the world Fully flexible working hours Extended time off: 20 paid vacation days + 12 bonus days per year 100% paid sick leave Real impact and ownership in fintech & crypto projects Corporate benefits: EMCD product discounts and mining infrastructure access
