Position Summary The College of Engineering seeks a highly organized and collaborative Curriculum Coordinator I to support undergraduate academic programs and curriculum administration. This position serves as a key resource for faculty, academic advisors, students, and university partners by coordinating curriculum processes, maintaining student academic records, supporting course scheduling, assisting with the planning and implementation of undergraduate academic initiatives, and supporting the College's ABET accreditation efforts. Working within the Academic Programs Office, the Curriculum Coordinator I provides administrative support for curriculum committees, coordinates student academic transactions within the Student Information System, maintains curriculum documentation, and assists with the coordination of the College's ABET accreditation process by collecting and maintaining accreditation documentation, supporting assessment activities, and partnering with departments to facilitate continuous improvement efforts. The position also supports the delivery of undergraduate educational programs and events, coordinates travel administration, and provides general administrative support to the Academic Programs Office. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Key Responsibilities Curriculum and Undergraduate Education Support (70%) Provide administrative support for the Engineering Undergraduate Studies Committee (EUSC), including preparing agendas and minutes, coordinating meeting materials, reviewing curriculum forms for accuracy, and maintaining committee records and documentation. Coordinate and process undergraduate academic records and curriculum-related transactions within the Student Information System, including course overrides, major changes, substitutions, waivers, graduation term corrections, concentration and minor updates, and degree conferrals while resolving issues with advisors, departments, and university offices. Maintain the accuracy of undergraduate curriculum information by updating academic requirements in the Student Information System, curriculum guides, prerequisite flowcharts, and the college schedule of courses for EGR, AESC, and TNG offerings. Coordinate administrative and logistical support for undergraduate academic initiatives, curriculum-related workshops, and student programs—including New Student Orientation, Colloquium, Commencement, and other college-sponsored educational activities—by coordinating schedules, reserving facilities, preparing materials, communicating with campus partners, and supporting implementation. Coordinate administrative support for the College's ABET accreditation process by maintaining accreditation documentation, collecting and organizing assessment data, coordinating timelines and meetings, preparing materials for accreditation reviews and visits, and partnering with departments to support continuous improvement efforts and compliance with ABET requirements. Support undergraduate academic program quality and continuous improvement by coordinating curriculum assessment activities, maintaining academic records and documentation, and assisting with the implementation and tracking of program improvement initiatives. Prepare and distribute undergraduate academic recognition materials, including Dean's List and 4.0 GPA recognition letters. Travel Administration (15%) Serve as the Academic Programs Office resource for university travel policies and procedures. Coordinate and process travel arrangements and related documentation for students, faculty, guest speakers, and visitors in accordance with university policies. Maintain departmental Driver Certification records to ensure compliance with university requirements. Serve as an administrative delegate, as assigned, to support travel approvals and related administrative processes. Departmental Support (15%) Welcome and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing information and directing inquiries to appropriate resources. Maintain Academic Programs office communications and informational resources, including website content and office directory information. Provide general administrative support to the Academic Programs Office by maintaining records, assisting with communications, and supporting special projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in education, educational administration, student affairs, business administration, or a related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience and knowledge of curriculum; word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications Experience supporting curriculum administration, academic programs, or student services in a higher education environment. Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS), enterprise business systems (EBS) systems, or other academic information systems. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Knowledge of ABET accreditation processes, continuous improvement practices, and academic assessment in an engineering or higher education environment is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and campus partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience analyzing, maintaining, and reporting academic or administrative data. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a collaborative, respectful, and service-oriented work environment.
