Location: Remote — open to candidates able to reliably cover core hours of 10:00 AM–12:00 PM GMT Role Type: Part-time (~10 hours/week initially, with growth potential) Reports to: Operations Manager The opportunity Our client is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to be the primary voice of the brand for customers while supporting order management, logistics coordination, and email marketing. In this role, you will handle daily customer interactions, coordinate with the fulfillment warehouse, and help optimize Klaviyo email campaigns — collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to deliver a seamless customer experience and support the business as it scales. What you will do Process and manage customer orders across multiple online sales platforms ( Shopify, Faire, eBay, TikTok Shop, Amazon Seller Central ), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Serve as the primary voice of the brand, responding promptly and professionally to customer emails and enquiries in flawless written English. Coordinate daily with the third-party fulfillment warehouse to ensure orders are processed and dispatched accurately. Assist in managing and optimizing email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo , including drafting copy and segmenting audiences. Troubleshoot order, shipping, and customer service issues, resolving them efficiently and independently. Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance the customer experience, and reduce manual workload. Maintain accurate records and support general administrative tasks, adapting quickly to new responsibilities as they arise. What you bring Near-native, exceptional written English — clear, empathetic, professional communication that reflects the brand voice. A self-starter mindset with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and take on increasing responsibility over time. Outstanding organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities without supervision. Friendly, courteous, professional communication style, with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations gracefully. Confident, independent problem-solving — doesn't wait for instructions when facing challenges. Comfort working autonomously and flexibly in a fast-evolving small-business, remote environment. Experience with Shopify (essential). Helpful, but not essential Experience with Faire, eBay, TikTok Shop, or Amazon Seller Central. Familiarity with Klaviyo or other email marketing platforms. Experience with cloud file management (Google Drive, Dropbox) and AI-powered productivity tools. Exposure to shipping, fulfillment, or inventory management systems. Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs, Gmail, and team communication tools (e.g., Slack). How the engagement works Contracting party: contracted through Apricot. Day to day, you will work with the client's operations team and report to the Operations Manager. For a consultant/contractor engagement, your work will be based on the agreed scope and deliverables. You are expected to provide your own laptop and basic equipment, maintain reliable connectivity and a secure working environment, and follow required security controls, including two-factor authentication. Any client-provided specialized equipment, leave, stipend, wellbeing-benefit, or other support will be stated separately as an approved exception. If you contract through Apricot, planned check-ins are in month 1 and month 3 to see how the engagement is working and help address issues.
