Role Description This is a part-time remote opportunity for a Cyber Security Specialist Freelance Trainer. The trainer will design and deliver engaging online training sessions on core cybersecurity topics, including application, network, and information security, tailored to diverse learner groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and training materials, creating practical labs and real-world scenarios, and updating course content to reflect current threats, tools, and best practices. The trainer will assess participant progress through assignments, quizzes, and hands-on exercises, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with Patch the Skill’s team to align programs with client needs and industry standards. Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security frameworks, policies, and best practices.
Candidates should possess practical expertise in Network Security, including secure network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Application Security, including secure coding principles, common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and mitigation techniques.
Candidates should possess experience in Malware Analysis, including identifying, analyzing, and responding to malicious software and related threats.
Experience delivering technical training or mentoring learners in cybersecurity, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent practical experience are highly beneficial.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in remote training tools and learning platforms.
Ability to design hands-on labs, case studies, and interactive content, and to work independently in a flexible freelance, part-time capacity.
