Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern

Role Description We are currently seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern to join our Information Security team, working remotely (U.S.-based). This is a full-time, 3-month internship with the option to extend by an additional 3 months. The intern will help lay the groundwork for an eventual ISO 27001 certification and gain hands-on exposure to enterprise security governance practices. What you will be doing: Supports the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification. Performs risk assessments. Documents risk treatments and associated follow-up actions. Generates governance-related dashboards for executive team leaders. Assists with security policy formulation and document management. Gathers security control evidence and associated records. Supports management and setup of the governance SaaS platform. Performs various other duties as required. What you should have: Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, or a related field. Familiarity with basic security or risk-management concepts (coursework or project experience is acceptable). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for documentation and evidence tracking. Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team. Good communication skills, comfortable in presenting to groups of stakeholders and following up on requests. Comfortable using Microsoft 365 suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Pay & Benefits: For this role, the estimated hourly rate is between $18 and $20. The actual rate will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
