Data Analyst - 100% Remote We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for improving transportation and transportation safety. This role involves working on innovative projects with our Federal partners at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. If you have a proven track record in data analysis, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to make meaningful contributions in solving transportation-related challenges, we’d like to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical and analytical support for research initiatives and decision-making at multiple levels within government agencies or industry. Collect, cleanse, and analyze large and complex data sets. Utilize tools like R, SQL, and either Tableau or PowerBI to create data-driven solutions. Apply modeling and statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends. Collaborate with teams to assess and solve transportation-related problems. Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Qualifications: Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US. Experience: 8+ years in data analysis, with expertise in:Collecting, preparing, and cleansing large data sets. Analyzing structured and unstructured data.\ Developing insights and recommendations through data visualizations. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Expertise in statistical analysis, modeling, and database design. Experience with programming tools like Python, Oracle, MATLAB, etc. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Curious and inquisitive nature with a desire to explore new approaches to problem-solving.
