About The Role

The Data Platform team at Cohere Health is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst II to join its remote-first environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining a scalable data ecosystem that supports analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. You will partner with clients, stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to gather comprehensive requirements, develop user stories, and translate complex business needs into high-quality data solutions. Your ability to independently lead moderately complex initiatives, bring clarity to technical delivery, and enhance processes will be vital to the success of our data-driven projects. The ideal candidate is experienced in healthcare data, proficient in SQL, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on improving healthcare outcomes. Occasional travel to Boston, MA, may be required for onboarding and team meetings, but the role is primarily remote, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data engineering or analytics environments
  • 2+ years of experience working with healthcare data such as claims, EMR, HEOR, or SDOH
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data exploration, validation, and source-to-target mapping
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprint ceremonies
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, public health, economics, or a related discipline
  • Ability to work fully remote with approximately 5% travel to Boston, MA
  • Knowledge of data profiling, quality monitoring, and data lineage practices

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients, product teams, engineering, and stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and data requirements
  • Translate business needs into user stories, epics, and detailed technical requirements to support data product development
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis, source-to-target mapping, and data validation using SQL to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Support data profiling, quality monitoring, and data lineage activities to enhance end-to-end data reliability
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for requirements clarification throughout project delivery cycles
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to process improvements, and assist in backlog management
  • Support change management initiatives, stakeholder communication, and the rollout of new data features and products
  • Maintain operational documentation, user guides, and client reference materials for ongoing reference and training

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • Life and disability insurance coverage
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health and well-being support
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA)
  • Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave to support work-life balance
  • Remote work flexibility with minimal travel requirements
  • Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually, complemented by bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits package

We provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
