About The Role
The Quality Control Data Analyst at Clearspeed plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of audio and digital data. This full-time, remote position involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating various data types to confirm adherence to established quality standards. The analyst will inspect data, identify irregularities or quality issues, document findings meticulously, and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Post-hire, the role includes specialized training to certify the analyst in quality control procedures, enabling independent decision-making and risk assessment within defined timeframes. The position requires performing all tasks from a single, approved work location, with flexibility around work schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs. Occasional travel up to 5% may be necessary. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members, contribute to process enhancements, and uphold the company's commitment to quality and security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, data annotation, data labeling, content moderation, transcription, compliance review, auditing, or similar analytical roles
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with digital tools and software applications
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience reviewing audio samples, speech data, or digital content
- Experience managing large datasets, databases, or data management systems
- Native or advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension)
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
- Eligibility for US Government security clearance (must be a US citizen)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation for remote work
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and accurately label audio recordings and other data files using designated software tools and quality control procedures
- Inspect, classify, and analyze data according to established guidelines to determine quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Identify actual or potential quality issues, inconsistencies, anomalies, or irregularities, and document findings with precision and attention to detail
- Communicate observations and quality concerns effectively to team leads and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality assessments, findings, and related activities for audit and review purposes
- Assist with various quality control projects and initiatives as assigned, supporting continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals and project deadlines
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to enhance quality standards and process efficiencies
- Apply established rules, procedures, and quality criteria consistently during data evaluation
- Complete QC Analyst basic certification training and testing, exercising professional judgment and discretion post-certification to assess risks independently
- Perform additional related duties as required to support the quality assurance team and organizational objectives
