Data Analyst - Remote (ANZ)

The role We’re looking for a Data Analyst to own our data infrastructure and support the business in making informed decisions. Someone who is naturally curious and loves turning data into real, practical insights. This is the chance to work for a growing NZ based technology business and shape the way data is used within the business. You’ll help us understand how customers use our product and where the opportunities are. You’ll support the business by using data to answer questions, uncover insights, and guide decision-making, making data easier to work with every day. This role combines hands-on analysis with maintaining our data environment, helping ensure teams have reliable data and clear visibility into performance. What you’ll do: Explore product and customer data to uncover insights that influence decisions Partner with teams across the business to answer questions, help them understand their data needs, and guide priorities Build dashboards and reports that enable team to self-serve and make informed decisions Write SQL to dig into data and make sense of it Help keep our data accurate, reliable, and easy to work with Support our data warehouse and pipelines so everything runs smoothly Use tools (including AI) to work faster and uncover better insights Help build a strong data culture by making data more accessible and understandable Own our data definitions and sources What we're looking for: 3+ years experience in a BI, data analyst, or similar role Strong SQL skills and confidence working with relational databases Experience with BI / dashboard tools (e.g. Holistics, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase) Understanding of data pipelines / ETL processes Basic data engineering skills Familiarity with working in a cloud data warehouse environment (e.g. Snowflake is a plus) Someone who is proactive, curious, and a strong communicator who can translate data for non-technical audience Experience using AI tools to speed up analysis and uncover insights faster What’s in it for you: Competitive salary + an opportunity to join our Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) to help you benefit from the long-term success of the company Annual wellbeing allowance and support Annual learning and development support Home office set-up An additional day off on your birthday Opportunities for professional growth and development The chance to have an impact and be part of a high performing team Flexible and remote-first working (our HQ is based in Wellington, NZ, but this role can be based anywhere in New Zealand or Australia) If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
