Data & Analytics Manager - Up to 13M JPY - English Only!

A Global Automotive and Manufacturing firm is looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Manager to lead enterprise-wide data strategy, analytics delivery, and AI initiatives as part of its large-scale digital transformation following the integration of two businesses

Working within the Data & Digital Transformation organization, this management role will oversee a team of Data Scientists and Project Managers supporting analytics initiatives across the entire commercial vehicle value chain, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, aftersales, and connected services.

Responsibilities

- Lead enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy

- Align analytics initiatives with business priorities

- Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization

- Drive continuous improvement of analytics capabilities

- Lead and develop a team of 10–12 Data Scientists and Project Managers

- Coach and mentor team members to deliver high-quality results

- Establish best practices for analytics delivery and collaboration

- Oversee enterprise reporting using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric

- Deliver scalable, actionable dashboards and analytics solutions

- Improve data quality, governance, and reporting standards

- Drive the adoption of Generative AI and AI-powered business solutions

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation

- Partner with business teams to deliver AI use cases

- Manage analytics projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

- Collaborate with business and global IT stakeholders across multiple functions

- Communicate project progress and business outcomes to senior leadership

- Ensure compliance with IT governance and global best practices

- Improve analytics processes and operational standards

- Support the organization's long-term digital transformation strategy

Required Skills:

- 7+ years of IT management experience with a strong Data Analytics background

- Experience leading Data Analytics or Business Intelligence teams

- Strong knowledge of AI, BI, and Data Analytics platforms (Generative AI is a plus)

- Experience with Microsoft Power BI; Microsoft Fabric experience is an advantage

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver multiple projects

- Strong project management skills, including budgets, timelines, and stakeholder management

- Experience working across IT and business functions

- Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and enterprise best practices

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salary: Total Package is 13,000,000 JPY per annum.

Work Hours: 8:00–17:00 / 9:00–18:00, flexible, no core time

Work Location: Kanagawa

Work Style: 3-4 days’ Work from Office (1~2 days WFH allowed)
