Job Title: Data Center BIM Configuration Analyst Job Description The Data Center BIM Configuration Analyst plays a key role in configuring data center sites within PathFinder, an internal network cabling planning tool used to automate cable pathing, port assignment, and order generation for network infrastructure deployments. This temporary, remote-eligible position focuses on accurately entering and validating site-specific measurements and configuration data so that data center network deployments proceed smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Load site configuration data into PathFinder using the Site Load UI Wizard and Site Load Intake Forms. Enter detailed data hall measurements, including cable tray dimensions, pathway distances, and rack or cabinet positions. Validate all entered data against source documentation such as design drawings, as-built surveys, and vendor measurement packages to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with field teams and vendors to clarify measurement discrepancies, resolve conflicts, and obtain missing data. Track site enablement progress across assigned sites and provide regular status updates on configuration completion. Follow standardized processes and statements of work to maintain data entry accuracy and consistency across all sites. Escalate configuration issues, data conflicts, and tool-related problems to the PathFinder team for resolution. Use spreadsheets and tracking tools to manage a queue of sites and monitor data entry and validation activities. Collaborate through standard communication tools to ensure clear, effective cross-team coordination. Contribute to meeting success metrics, including the number of sites fully configured and enabled in PathFinder per week, data accuracy rates, and turnaround time from receiving measurement data to site go-live. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and a high commitment to data accuracy when working with technical measurements and configuration information. Experience with data entry in web-based tools or databases, including navigating forms and validating entered data. Ability to read and interpret site drawings, floor plans, and measurement documentation to translate physical layouts into digital configurations. Comfort working with spreadsheets and tracking tools to organize site data, monitor progress, and report status. Effective written communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams, field personnel, and vendors. Self-motivated work style with the ability to manage a queue of sites independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Excel and database familiarity for handling configuration datasets and supporting reporting and tracking activities. Site configuration experience, particularly in environments where accuracy and consistency are critical. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with data center environments, including cable tray systems and network infrastructure layouts. Experience using AWS internal tools or similar enterprise resource planning and configuration management systems. Background in telecommunications, structured cabling, or construction documentation that supports understanding of technical drawings and specifications. Understanding of network cabling terminology, such as NOS, fiber trunks, and copper patching, to interpret measurement and configuration requirements. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and vendors in remote settings. Interest in data center operations and network infrastructure planning. Work Environment This role operates in a 100% remote work environment, providing flexibility while requiring reliable connectivity and a professional home office setup. Work may involve occasional collaboration during Pacific Time hours to align with team schedules and project needs. The position relies heavily on digital tools, including PathFinder Cable Manager as the primary configuration platform, PathFinder Site Load Intake Forms for PDF-based measurement capture, and the PathFinder Site Load UI Wizard for guided web-based data entry. Standard communication tools such as Slack and email are used for daily collaboration, coordination with field teams and vendors, and status reporting. The work is detail-focused, documentation-driven, and centered on accurate configuration of data center sites to support network infrastructure deployments.
