Senior Data Engineer (Big Data)

Location: Remote (France)

Contract: Freelance / Contract

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale Big Data platform project supporting the development and evolution of a cloud-based data platform. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, maintaining production environments, and delivering high-quality data solutions using modern cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Spark and Databricks.
• Create, manage, and optimize Databricks jobs, clusters, and notebooks.
• Write efficient SQL queries for large-scale data processing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and defects.
• Contribute to the long-term strategy and evolution of the data platform.
• Promote engineering best practices and high-quality development standards.
• Participate in technical and functional design workshops.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
