We're partnering with an innovative technology organisation embarking on an exciting greenfield programme and are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in designing and delivering a scalable, cloud-based data platform.

This is an opportunity to work on a project from day one, helping shape the data architecture, engineering standards and technical direction. The Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building and optimising data solutions that support a modern cloud platform. Working closely with software engineers, product teams and business stakeholders, you'll develop efficient data pipelines and ensure high-quality, accessible data across the organisation.

You'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, recommend best practices and contribute to the long-term evolution of a brand-new platform.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing scalable data solutions using SQL and Azure technologies
• Building and maintaining robust ETL processes and data pipelines
• Developing and optimising PostgreSQL databases
• Working with engineering teams to integrate data across multiple applications
• Improving data quality, performance and reliability
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-documented SQL code
• Collaborating within an Agile delivery environment
• Helping define best practices for a modern cloud-based data platform

Skills & Experience

We're looking for professionals with strong commercial experience in:

• SQL
• ETL development
• Microsoft Azure
• PostgreSQL
• Data modelling and database design
• Performance tuning and query optimisation
• Building scalable cloud-based data solutions
• Agile delivery environments

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, data warehousing or modern DevOps practices would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
