Data Engineer

At Sii Group Colombia, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international technology project.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data processing and integration solutions using Python and SQL.
• Develop, maintain, and improve ETL processes to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related data integration tools.
• Design dimensional data models based on Star Schema principles to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
• Implement historical data management strategies, including Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Advanced SQL expertise with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar data integration tools.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
• English proficiency B2+ to C1 for collaboration with international teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PySpark (Python + Spark) and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
