We are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a long-term international project.

The following skills are mandatory for this role. Candidates must have strong, hands-on commercial experience with ALL of the technologies below.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting modern data solutions within the Azure ecosystem, working with large-scale data processing, data integration and data warehousing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines
• Working extensively with Azure Synapse, Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Developing and optimising complex SQL queries
• Building batch and distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark
• Developing data engineering solutions using Python
• Working with SSIS and TimeXtender for data integration
• Managing and processing data within Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Implementing version control using Git
• Supporting data warehouse development and data modelling
• Working closely with data, BI and development teams in an international environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer who has strong practical experience across the Microsoft Azure data stack and can work independently in a remote freelance environment.
