Data Engineer (m/f/n)

Department: Energy Business IT | Location: Esch-sur-Alzette | Contract: Permanent | Job Requisition N° 19838 Your tasks You design, build, and operate robust and scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and deliver internal and external data sources (e.g. market data, forecasts, asset data) to support algorithmic trading and energy management operations You ensure high availability, low latency and operational stability of data flows used in near–real-time and intraday decision-making, including monitoring, alerting, and incident handling You integrate new data sources end-to-end, from data acquisition and validation to storage, transformation, and consumption, enabling the continuous growth of the Energy Management department You collaborate closely with traders, analysts, and data scientists to translate trading and optimization requirements into reliable, production-ready data solutions You optimize data pipelines and infrastructure with regard to performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, while ensuring compliance with security and data governance standards You contribute to the evolution of the data architecture and tooling landscape, proposing improvements that increase robustness, observability, and operational efficiency You support the deployment of data pipelines into production and ensure their smooth operation over the full lifecycle, from development to daily operations You take ownership of defined components of the data platform under guidance from senior colleagues, gradually increasing autonomy and technical responsibility You continuously develop your technical skills and stay up to date with best practices in data engineering, especially in the context of real-time data processing and operational systems Your profile You hold a university degree in IT, Data Science, or a related field You have development experience in languages like Python or NodeJS You demonstrate understanding of integration pattern related to microservice architecture or event driven architecture The understanding of energy markets is considered as an advantage You have experience in database design and query language and are able to optimize them to fit a business requirement Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Camel and Airflow is considered as a plus You communicate and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders You demonstrate rigour, precision, and curiosity, and an eagerness to learn and grow You are fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is considered as an advantage What we offer “Together we build the future of Luxembourg’s energy transition” The opportunity to join a Group that actively shapes the energy transition in Luxembourg and the Greater Region A multicultural and international working environment that encourages diversity and inclusion A competitive salary with additional benefits (e.g. pension plan, additional health insurance, meal vouchers, private parking, company restaurant, etc.) A significant stability of employment and the possibility to evolve within the Group Continuous learning and development career path adapted to the needs of each employee Hybrid working mode with the possibility to work from home For external applications, a recent copy of the police record will be requested if you are invited for an interview.
