Depending on the engagement, Data Engineers typically work on:

Extracting and integrating Dynamics 365 CRM data out of Dataverse (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service apps) into an analytical platform using Synapse Link, Azure Data Factory, APIs, or similar approaches.
Navigating the Dataverse data model and CRM entity structure (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Cases) to build reliable, analytics-ready datasets.
Building and maintaining data pipelines on a modern data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or equivalent.
Querying Dataverse (FetchXML, Web API / OData, or the SQL endpoint) to retrieve, validate, and reconcile CRM data.
Handling CRM-specific data quirks such as soft deletes and state codes, plugin-triggered field changes, and polymorphic lookup relationships.
Preparing and delivering data that feeds Power BI semantic models in close partnership with BI teams.
Implementing data quality checks, testing, and monitoring across pipelines.
Collaborating with stakeholders across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones.

Must Have Requirements

Availability to work nightshift hours (flexible schedule).
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer (or BI / Analytics Engineer) on cloud data systems.
Strong data engineering fundamentals on any modern data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or Snowflake, including building and maintaining data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CRM or Dataverse (extracting, integrating, or modeling CRM data).
Working understanding of the Dataverse data model and CRM entity structure (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Cases).
Strong SQL and Python skills.

Strong Advantage

Dimensional modeling and building datamarts for BI and analytics (star/snowflake schemas, SCDs).
Experience ingesting Dataverse data via Synapse Link for Dataverse or an equivalent managed export path.
Proficiency with FetchXML and the Dataverse Web API / OData.
Practical experience handling CRM data quirks such as soft deletes/state codes, plugin-triggered field changes, and polymorphic lookups.
Hands-on Power BI development including semantic models and DAX.
Working knowledge of the broader Azure data stack (ADF, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2) or an equivalent such as Snowflake.
Familiarity with data quality frameworks and monitoring best practices at scale.

Nice to Have Requirements

Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer), or DP-203.
Exposure to the wider Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Background in CPG, life sciences, or wellness industries.

Tools and Platforms

Experience with any of these is a strong advantage. You do not need all of them.
