Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026 Work Setup: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite) Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Data Management Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Alation Data Catalog setup, configuration, administration, and platform support. The successful candidate will support metadata onboarding and tool hydration, including migrating existing metadata assets into Alation, while contributing to improved metadata quality, discoverability, and adoption across the organization. What you will do: Configure, administer, and support the Alation Data Catalog platform. Manage hands-on Alation setup, configuration, and tool hydration activities. Migrate existing metadata assets into Alation as part of metadata onboarding. Configure and manage business glossary, data catalog, data lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows within Alation. Integrate Alation with enterprise data sources, databases, BI tools, and governance ecosystems. Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Management, and business teams to improve metadata quality, discoverability, and adoption. Support the ongoing optimization and adoption of Alation across data management and governance functions. Bring hands-on experience in Alation Data Catalog setup, configuration, administration, and platform support. Possess expertise in metadata onboarding, tool hydration, and migration of existing metadata assets into Alation. Have experience configuring business glossary, data catalog, data lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows within Alation. Have experience integrating Alation with enterprise data sources, databases, BI tools, and governance ecosystems. Possess a strong understanding of data management, metadata management, and data governance practices. Bring the ability to collaborate effectively with Data Governance, Data Management, and business teams. Maintain a strong focus on metadata quality, discoverability, and platform adoption. Be available to work in a hybrid setup with 2 days per week onsite in London. Be able to work on a PAYE basis through an umbrella company.
