The University of Maine System (University) is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Data Management Technician CL2 in the Shared Processing Center. The successful applicant will perform complex work interpreting, managing, and coordinating data acquisition at the Shared Processing Center using multiple data systems. The majority of data processing will be related to YourPace admissions applications and supporting documents. As a member of the Shared Processing Center team, the employee will rotate work assignments frequently between data entry into the MaineStreet Student Information System, scanning and indexing credentials using the document management system, and matching data acquired from credentials to persons in the multiple databases (MaineStreet and ImageNow document management systems). The work requires judgment, initiative, a high degree of accuracy, and strong attention to detail. The employee will report to the Director, Shared Processing Center Operations. Training will be provided. Work Schedule: Full-time, regular position, 40 hours per week. Normal daily work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. This is a remote position based within the state of Maine. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable driving distance of campus to allow for periodic on-site presence when required. Salary: This position pays $21.93/hour, or the applicable transfer rate in accordance with the Associated Clerical Office Laboratory Technical Staff of the Universities of Maine (ACSUM) collective bargaining agreement. Qualifications Required: Strong computer skills to include intermediate word processing, database management, and/or spreadsheets. Data entry experience in a relational database. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively. Ability to review and analyze data and reach logical conclusions. Ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly. Ability to function independently and as part of a proactive team. High school diploma and data entry experience. Preferred: Experience entering undergraduate admission applications information into MaineStreet for multiple university institutions.
