Data Modeler

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Logical Data Modelling, Data Vault 2.0, and SQL to join a data-driven transformation environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design data models in collaboration with Data Architects and Solution Architects.
• Develop and maintain Logical Data Models (LDMs).
• Translate between logical and physical data models.
• Gather and analyze data requirements from business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and effective data models.
• Collaborate across business, architecture, data, and technology teams.
• Make informed decisions and drive progress when requirements or information are incomplete or evolving.
• Support data integration and data transformation initiatives.
• Ensure data models align with architecture standards and business objectives.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in Data Modelling.
• Strong expertise in Logical Data Models (LDMs).
• Ability to translate between Logical and Physical Data Models.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of Data Vault 2.0.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to effectively work with Data Architects, Solution Architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with data integration and data modelling in SAP-related projects.
• Knowledge of retail data entities, particularly Customer and Stock/Inventory.
• Experience with dbt.
• Familiarity with Google BigQuery.
• Experience with GitHub and version-control practices.
• Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and data transformation environments.
