Data Operations Coordinator

We are currently assisting a Birmingham-based insurance firm that is struggling with a significant backlog of unmapped data fields and inconsistent record keeping. Their internal systems are producing conflicting reports, and the staff is stuck in a cycle of manual reconciliations just to close their books each month. As a Data Operations Coordinator, you will step into the middle of these broken data flows. Your job is to find the specific point where a record stops moving correctly and fix the underlying routing rule or workflow. This is a fully remote role where you will help us clear the operational drag that prevents this firm from performing at its full capacity.

What You Will Do

• Compare data sets across multiple insurance platforms to identify where information is dropping or drifting.
• Review system logs to trace the path of a transaction from initial entry to final storage.
• Update internal runbooks to reflect new manual reconciliation steps while we work on permanent automation.
• Monitor incoming data streams for the client to catch errors before they hit the general ledger.
• Draft plain English documentation for every change made to a routing rule or system configuration.
• Clean up stale data that has accumulated due to old, neglected workflows or retired software.
• Maintain the daily decision log to ensure all team actions align with the project objectives.
• Collaborate with the lead operations engineer to test new configurations before the final cutover.

What You Bring
