Data Scientist (Python & PySpark) | Remote (UK) | 2-Month Contract

Location: Remote (UK-Based Only)

Contract: 2 Months (September – November)

Rate: Flexible DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading consultancy delivering a large-scale digital transformation programme for a high-profile UK organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team working on innovative, data-driven products.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing analytics solutions for new digital products, working alongside engineering, product, and design teams to deliver scalable data science capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable analytics and data processing pipelines.
• Build and optimise data science solutions using Python and PySpark.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support product discovery activities and translate analytical requirements into technical solutions.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless deployment of data science models.
• Contribute to the delivery of innovative digital products within an Agile environment.

Required Experience

• Proven commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
• Strong expertise in Python and PySpark (essential).
• Experience developing analytics pipelines and large-scale data processing solutions.
• Strong knowledge of open-source data science tools and frameworks.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional Agile teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be physically based in the UK due to data sovereignty requirements.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting Tableau or dashboard migration projects.
• Exposure to population health, workforce planning, or supply chain analytics.
• Experience working on digital product development initiatives.
