Data Scientist – Business Analyst

Overview

The data lab offers expertise and innovative solutions regarding data science and analytics. The team's focus is on investigating data to discover insights and patterns, making predictions, and generating recommendations using advanced techniques such as big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

To further develop future big data analysis projects, we are looking for a Data Scientist – Business Analyst. The assignment will be ordered in parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Indicate which data is needed when collecting data to perform analyses, both in terms of data availability, quality, format, granularity, etc.
• Selecting and creating quality machine learning models, extracting insights from data and models, and visualizing these results.
• Taking on assignments where AI can add value to the organization and independently developing and deploying this assignment.
• Independent and regular communication with business experts and stakeholders when developing specific AI/ML use cases.
• Translating the business question into concrete data and technical requirements for the technical team.
• Leading teams in more complex innovative projects.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in deep learning, neural networks (preferably Pytorch and JAX), generative AI (retrieval augmented generation RAG), and Agentic products (agents, harness, etc.)
• Proven experience in creating UI interfaces for AI services (Azure AI foundry, Reflex.dev, Javascript/CSS (Tailwind CSS, Chadui/cn, next.js,...) and AI prototyping (Claude code, Codex, pi.dev,...)
• Proven experience in optimizing/tuning databases and queries
• Proven experience in analyzing data streams
• Proven experience in deploying GEN AI products
• At least 8 years of proven experience in stakeholder communication
• At least 8 years of proven experience in ML modeling: Statistics, Predictive analytics, Time series prediction, Computer Vision, Libraries: Scikit-learn, OpenCV
• Proven experience in analytics platforms: Azure ML, Databricks (spark), Jupyter notebooks, Duckdb
• Proven experience in visualizations and reporting: Python packages (Altair, Matplotlib, KeplerGL …), Markdown
• Proven experience with data science projects in the mobility sector
• Proven experience with databases (SQL, Oracle)
• Proven experience with reporting
• Proven experience with scripting (Shell, perl, python)
• At least 8 years of proven experience in data manipulation and processing: ETL, SQL, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, …
• At least 8 years of proven experience in leading teams in more complex innovative projects
• At least 8 years of proven experience in translating modeling results into business results.
