Data & Visualization Consultant (Energy Sector) 📊 Data & Visualization Consultant (Energy Sector) ⚡ 🌍 Now partnering with a leading company in the energy sector! 📍 Belgium | 🗣️ Dutch and/or French + English required | 👤 Medior profile (3+ years) Are you passionate about turning complex energy simulation data into clear, impactful visuals? 📈 We're looking for a Data & Visualization Consultant to join the SMA team, exploring large-scale simulation outputs, building data pipelines, and creating dashboards that drive real decision-making in the energy transition! 🔋 📋 Key Responsibilities 👉 Improve data management processes (data warehouse, data pipelines) 🗄️ 👉 Explore large volumes of data from simulations 👉 Benchmark visualizations against studies like ERAA, TYNDP, MLZ, NESO-FES, RTE 👉 Benchmark and build on visualizations already available within the team 👉 Create visuals from simulation output, including writing & updating scripts 👉 Present and iterate on visuals with key stakeholders/management 👉 Create visuals comparing different studies or historical data 👉 Create/update scripts to identify inconsistencies in input/output data 👉 Propose a user-friendly interface to dynamically explore data, potentially public-facing 🌐 🛠️ Example Tasks 🔸 Consolidate historical data into a data warehouse 🔸 Build/update Python tools to analyze outputs from ANTARES or other solvers 🔸 Create visualizations of simulation outputs 🔸 Critically analyze algorithm results, help identify key trends 🔸 Data engineering and interfaces between tools ✅ Hard Skills 🔹 Python (must-have) — extensively used across existing tools 🐍 🔹 PowerBI (must-have) — central visualization tool 🔹 React.js (nice-to-have) 🔹 ANTARES (nice-to-have) — RTE's economic dispatch tool, I/O interface + general knowledge ✅ Soft Skills 🔹 Medior profile — 3+ years' experience minimum 🔹 Knowledge of and interest in the energy market 🔹 Ability to work independently and in a team 🔹 Analytical and innovative mindset 🎯 About the Profile 💡 You love diving into data and creating clear, insightful, impactful visuals 🎯 Passionate about delivering high-quality tools that improve team performance 🌱 Looking to invest medium-term in a team, take on challenging projects, and grow expertise ⚡ Interested in the energy transition and challenges in the electricity sector 🗣️ Good level of Dutch and/or French, plus English 📩 Ready to shape the future of energy data visualization?
