Playtech's Corporate IT unit is looking for a Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server) to help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of critical database environments that support our global operations. Install, upgrade, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments. Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues. Ensure backups and recovery processes are aligned with company standards. Implement improvements in database maintenance, security, and protection. Manage incidents, requests, and changes within agreed service levels. Collaborate with project managers, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders. Support both development and production environments. Document processes and monitor application performance metrics. Components for success. You... Have 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments. Have strong experience with MS SQL and T-SQL. Bring expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always-ON Availability groups. Posses strong understanding of DMVs, Extended Events, SQL Profiler, and Query. Have experience managing Azure-hosted SQL instances. Understand SQL backup and recovery strategies. Have solid knowledge of Windows operating systems. Combine strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Take ownership of your work and can effectively manage competing priorities. You'll get extra points for... Experience with PostgreSQL. Experience with MySQL or MariaDB. Experience with Linux operating systems. PowerShell scripting experience. Relevant Microsoft certifications. CORPORATE IT SERVICES The Corporate IT Services team supports Playtech's global infrastructure, applications, and business systems. As part of a team of experienced system administrators, application administrators, and database specialists located across Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, and Poland, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving services used throughout the business.
